EUCLID

Written and Illustrated by Chad Baptiste

This is a preview of my brand new title called Euclid, a projected 130 page action-thriller/ survival-horror graphic novel, a first of MANY aspects for me! These 14 pages are utilized in a pitch submitted to OniPress for possible publication, and to showcase what visual direction I want to take the book.

Set some 3oo years in the future, a large private logistics and development company creates the first and only initiative to terraform Venus with the use of man’s most ambitious undertaking; Euclid, a twenty five thousand mile wide plate, made up of four hundred thousand individual hexagonal plates, designed to create an eclipse that blankets the entire planet of Venus from the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

30 years after a cataclysmic geological event rendered the surface inhospitable, the first scientific research compound and human colony established on the terraformed Venus, the NOAH compound, was destroyed, and all inhabitants were presumed killed. There’re suspected accessible data modules that could be siphoned before the entire premises is shut down, and the subsequent discontinuation of human colonization on the planet. It is now up to the reconnaissance and extraction Marine unit: Bravo One, to investigate the derelict NOAH.
